My current practice centers around the notion of association; how connections can be made through objects, visuals and sound, particularly in relation to Music. I am interested in how an object or image can retain the association to its intended purpose even when all functionality is stripped away or presented differently.
Employing an interdisciplinary practice, centering mostly on Sculpture, assemblage, sound, video and photography, my work intends to examine and question the often obsessive and fetishistic relationship we have with music through objects. Objects which can so quickly become obsolete in the face of technological advancement.
