Exit THE AZTEC is an account of the filming of a scene in a motion picture. A minor character encounters a woman who takes a lit cigarette from her mouth, inverts it and places it back between her lips so that the hot embers are burning inside the cavity of her mouth, she blows a thin plume of white smoke out of the filter as if it were steam from the funnel of an engine - they leave together. The action of stepping of camera prompts a series of additional stories describing steps in and out of shot or on and off a stage.
In Tom/Lutz: Two Scenes in 1983 the stories of an elderly writer’s death by choking on the cap from a bottle of eyedrops and a young dancer’s role in a documentary film are told simultaneously concluding with a dance number.
