Each scenario frames the viewer as an interloper, an interruption to be confronted or absorbed.

Mann creates a succession of self-contained works. Combined through careful installation, these independent entities assert an open space, which plays host to a series of ongoing dialogues.

Currently based in Edinburgh, Lyndsay Mann participated in the Stills Gallery artists residency programme for 2008/09.

Most recently her work was exhibited at the Supermarket art fair in Stockholm, and at FOUR Gallery, Dublin in her first international solo show, Dense Mouth.

Last year Mann was selected for the International Studio Residency 2008 at Temple Bar Gallery & Studios in Dublin, and in 2006/7 spent six months living and working in Berlin.

She has exhibited widely throughout the UK, including SURVEY, Royal Scottish Academy 2007, Coolhunting, Talbot Rice Gallery, Edinburgh 2005, and Ain’t No Love in the Heart of the City…, Cardiff 2004.

Lyndsay Mann studied at Central Saint Martins College of Art, London.
