Speech bubbles: words will float away and vanish unless they are saved. I rescue words, and subverting the traditional sampler, make hand sewn text embroideries of overheard conversations using Foucault's notion of Heterotopias, or other places, outside the norms of behaviour, recording notable statements, or what others have said to me.
I use my own experience of blindness/partial sight creating hand-tinted photomontages from performative photographs to express the absurdity, humour, and terror of a world where animals appear spontaneously, where everything else is bathed in fog.
