I am a Swedish artist based in Glasgow since 2004. I did my MFA in Stockholm (1999 – 2004) and in 2002 I came to Glasgow on an Erasmus exchange at the Environmental Art Department at Glasgow School of Art.

I work predominantly with video, sound and audio-visual installation, with which to investigate theories of memory and perception. Central to recent video works is the use of appropriated material that has been re-imagined into new contexts and narrative structures as a loose framework. Ideas for new work are often drawn from personal experiences, an encounter with a place, through visual and theoretical research or a brief moment in time. Sound plays an important part in my work but has so far never been separated from the visual – the two media interact with one another to emphasise and discover new structures in the work.

Currently I am working on what will become a series of video projects entitled Memory – a changeable and moving image, in which I am aiming to work in a more experimental manner than previously. Particularly in relation to the structure and narrative technique of the video work. I am interested in working in a non-linear way, creating a structure that is, to use literature as an example, more related to poetry than a novel.
