SQUIFF presents Lesbian With A Movie Camera at Transmission.

As part of LGBT History Month, the Scottish Queer International Film Festival presents a lovingly-curated selection of indie, punk and DIY lesbian shorts from across half a century century of filmmaking, featuring known names and unsung (s)heroes alike.  Ranging from the hilarious to the experimental, the programme features a rare screening of Caroline Sheldon's witty and subversive 17 Rooms (Or What Do Lesbians Do in Bed?).  Scheduled in 1986 for a prime slot in Channel Four's pioneering In The Pink season, the film was scandalously pulled from the programme at the last minute - not because of any explicit content (there was none), but because it was thought that audiences might object to its title.

This is a free, unticketed event; donations are very much appreciated and will collected after the screening.  Transmission is a fully accessible venue.  Films shown will include captions for the D/deaf and hard of hearing.
